Why I'm Opening My Door to Creative Mentoring
Share
Helping artists, makers and creative businesses turn ideas into reality.
After decades of building brands, creating art, running community projects and learning through experience, I'm opening a new chapter—sharing practical mentoring, free resources and honest advice to help artists, makers and creative businesses grow with confidence.
That is where in life it point when you realise that your biggest asset isn't what you've made—it's what you've learned.
Over the years I've worn many hats.
Artist.
Designer.
Business owner.
Community project founder.
Brand creator.
Event organiser.
Website builder.
Product developer.
Author.
And somewhere along the way I realised that every success—and every mistake—had taught me something worth sharing.
I've been fortunate enough to build creative brands, work on community projects, launch products, design websites, organise events and spend countless hours solving problems that don't come with an instruction manual.
None of it happened overnight.
Much of it happened through trial and error.
There were exciting moments, frustrating moments, and more than a few times when I wished someone had simply sat down with me and said...
"Have you thought about doing it this way?"
That conversation can save months of uncertainty.
Sometimes years.
That's why I've decided to offer Creative Mentoring.
Not because I have all the answers.
I don't.
Every creative journey is different.
But I do know what it's like to have a head full of ideas and wonder which one to follow first.
I know what it's like to build a business from scratch with limited resources.
I know what it's like to question yourself, change direction, start again and keep going.
Most importantly, I know that creativity grows when people encourage one another instead of competing with one another.
For me, mentoring isn't about creating copies of my journey.
It's about helping people discover their own.
Sometimes all someone needs is another pair of eyes.
Someone to ask the right questions.
Someone to help untangle the ideas that are racing around their head.
Someone to say, "You've got something here."
Alongside mentoring, I'll also be creating a growing collection of free worksheets, planning guides and creative resources.
Not everything should sit behind a paywall.
I've always believed that sharing knowledge helps everyone grow, and if a free worksheet gives someone the confidence to start their first business, write their first book or launch their first product, then that's a good thing.
If, after using those resources, someone would like more personalised support, that's where mentoring comes in.
This isn't about becoming a traditional business coach.
It's about sharing practical experience gained through years of creating, building, learning and adapting.
If my journey can help someone else move forward with a little more confidence, avoid a few unnecessary mistakes, or finally take that first step, then opening this new chapter will have been worthwhile.
After all, creativity isn't something we keep to ourselves.
It's something we pass on.
And if I can help even a handful of people turn their ideas into something real, I'll consider that time well spent.
Here's to the next chapter.
